The tires are usually made of rubber materials with many production processes. Generally, the finished tires can be produced through a series of processes including plasticizing -- mixing -- processing embryo accessories (such as inner tubes, tread, tire cord, etc.) -- embryo formation -- embryo vulcanization. The e-tpu tires are made of e-tpu materials which are prepared by microporous foaming technology. And using these E-TPU materials, different sizes of solid tires are manufactured by steam moulding. Compared with the traditional production process, this production process of the tires is simple and the processing cost can be saved. More importantly, e-tpu tires do not need to be inflated during being used and are not afraid of being punctured or bursting. Therefore, compared with traditional tires, e-tpu tires are more convenient, safer and easy to do the maintenance. E-tpu particles combine the advantages of granular foam and thermoplastic polyurethane, which have excellent processing performance and resilience. Even if used continuously, they can still maintain good resilience. Other advantages of this material include low density, good tear resistance, good temperature stability, recyclability, easy decomposability and no burden on the environment.
Based on the character of foamed polyurethane particles and moulded solid tires, we can see that this material can not only be made into bicycles or e-bike tires, but also be made into other low-speed tires, such as those for children's carts and wheelchairs. The tires of children’s carts have a high requirement for material’s vibration reducing performance. Foamed polyurethane particles with small density, good resilience and excellent vibration reducing performance are very suitable for this field.
