Application of E-TPU in the runway

The products applied to plastic sports field are gradually serialized and diversified, and the plastic running track technology also presents a new situation. The emergence of many new materials has promoted the further development of China's plastic runways. The plastic runways that are based on MDI meet the requirements of environmental protection and are particularly suitable for the laying of the primary and secondary schools’ playground and the indoor plastic ground. The e-tpu protective floor for children provides extra protection for children, making the campus safer and the family more comfortable, and adding a safety protection barrier for children to play more happily.

The material of e-tpu produced by our company is thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU) synthesized by MDI system. By using supercritical fluid micro-foam technology, Micro porous foaming particles of 5-6mm are produced. The parameter of the particles is as below:

Density: 0.15-0.22 g/cm3  (controllable)

Hardness: Shore C 35-60 (controllable)

Type-C Tearing strength C: 15-30kgf/cm2

Resilience: 20-60%

Compression permanent deformation: ＜20%

DIN abrasion: ＜100 mm3

Yellowing resistance: up to level 4

The foaming particles can replace the PU and black rubber particles in the base layer.
